My two cents

"Each lab poses a “challenge”, such as “help us design a new watch”, and anyone can pitch their idea or build on another idea …."

This is the magic social networks have been waiting for - the ability to take Facebook followers into an idea-sharing environment, and leverage their collective insight into your product ( which they already love) and target consumer (themselves) and make it tangible.

Most of the services offered today seem catered to the SMB Facebook profile, but the enterprise should be on this train also. It would be great to see an IBM-Unica, BazaarVoice, or Epsilon type company create a white label product that could createthe same Facebook-to-focus-group experience for the P&G’s and Unilever’s of the world - and that would just be the tip of the iceberg. Online communities, like mom-bloggers or fashion-trend-bloggers, are probably the best equivalent right now - though likely don’t leverage an ‘existing’ Facebook following in quite the same way.

This is great stuff for an SMB.
